I know this isn't important news, but it could be in the near future. Word of Warcraft or WoW has hit 8.5 million users, thats bigger than some countries and definately bigger than most cities. What does this mean? Well the economic market is a big factor. A virtual economy is on the rise and well, its hard to figure out how to profit from the damn thing besides gold farming

Seems to be a slow news day on the the gadget and technology front. A lot stuff is coming out of GDC for sony and its PS3. It looks like they got their act together for sony's ps3 now all we need is some price cuts. Though does kiler software at this late in the game take away the thunder of the wii? Recently (or so reported) Japan has said that they will not continue apologizing for their war-crimes. In some reports, they say that Japan actually recinds the apology saying that they went on their own free will
once again sick
report at pravda
my two cents on this is that any government that has done terrible unspeakable things during war times (slavery, torture, etc) should constantly apologize for their problems. As a country, they should move on but never forget the past. Japan is a hot topic amongst the asian community because it seems as though the major players (china, korea, taiwan, philipines, etc) hate japan due to their wartime crimes. However they play nice with each other for economic reasons. Its a sticky situation right now, but I personally believe that Japan should acknowledge their wartime crimes
Wow...this is just sick. Two russian tourists were shot (for what seems like just sitting on the beach) and killed. WTF! Were they trespassing or something? Evil still, doesn't warrent to be shot

After a sell session all across the asian coasts, the stock market has tumbled yet again. Even though this is considered a bad thing for stock markets to tumble, I believe other wise. As I said before in one of my previous posts that one of China's biggets fears is inflation of the RMB. I also said that spending money would be a good way to deflate the currency, well another way for that is sell off and cause the market to decline. What people should fear is if you live in a consuming nation (America, Japan, etc), then the currency will fall as well such as the NYSE dropping roughly 500 points.

Everybody knows that China is the new economic boom on the block, but with great neck speeds and fast industrialization, they have a couple of problems on there hands. One of them being pollution and green house gases. However, its good to see that China is taking a stance on the pollution problem and are trying to get it under control as well as maintaining their economic growth

my two cents on the thing is that in the beginning, inflation was the biggest problem that China faced. Since they pegged their currency to the US dollar, they were afraid that the RMB would inflate causing major havok (usually amongst the poor/middle class) on people's lives. Trying to spend the money rapidly would be a good way to deflate the RMB and I believe they found a worthly cause (plus expensive) such as the environment. Kill two birds with one stone I guess

An interesting article about the linkage of obesity amongst the young leads to earlier developement of the body. Child obesity is one of the largest epidemics of civilized countries (next to diabetese). As people hit puberty at a younger age, the next problem would be underage sex and the such.

I remember drawing on the wall of my old house and then getting a whoopin for it (pre child abuse laws years were the best!) . However, it seems that Philips has developed a projection wall touch screen technology that allows your child to express themselves without the mess and property damage of yester years. So Nokia has just released the N-Gage v. 3.0. A few things about the n-gage, my friend had one (and she got it for free to boot). I fiddled around with it and I must say it was a piece of crap. I mean, I've played mobile phone games before and found it quite entertaining (b-jeweled and or tetris/columns clones). The N-gage games however were just plain awful. Screen to phone size ratio was just horrendous. The game support was just as bad. I would change the shape and game and screen, well just about everything.
Though kudo's for them for trying

Seems as though US Airways new computer system software is not quite up to par with the world. It seems as though the new systems are causing log jams and won't really let up
